My name is
Sailor Pope and I want to be a cyber security person.
I grew up in Idaho when
I was younger, but when I followed my family down to Texas,
everything changed. I was able
to go to schools that worked with computers and I began to
get interested in computers and started learning about coding and programming
on
Khan academy. Needless to say, I learned a lot, but retaining it is the hard part. I then
was able to participate in a
program called Girls Go Cyber where girls learned how to
program on computers and how to play around with the computers.
After just one summer of that
I was hooked. I will be the first to admit that it was not
easy at first, but it was totally worth it. As you may have guessed by the
Bon Jovi
reference, I like music. To be more specific, 50's. I will listen to music sometimes
when programming just because it helps me with my creativity.
I am really excited
to learn more about computers and how they work.
